dear readers.....
its my 2nd post for the day...not that i am so eager to blog...but ,
something disturbed me and yes...i am distraught...very...
while posting this ...my cheeks are in fact wet from my tears...tears that just streamed...unintentionally ...

here is why :
i was watching this TV programme
its called =the boy with a tumour for a face
this title totally caught my eye...so , i watched on...
gosh , its heart wrenching...its about an Indonesian boy with a tumour for a face...
his whole face is so distorted .....i would hate to say this but hideous would be the exact word to describe him...the abnormal growth of the tumour made his jaw so wide that it couldn't close...it also compressed his eyes that they are no longer the same size...and his nose , he has no nose....
Phantom of the OPera???....u bet so....he hardly looks human except for the fact that he is a boisterous child.....
to rub on the salt , his family is very very poor....
to cut the story short...he went for a reconstructive surgery in Taiwan on sponsorship...
n yay , it was a success !!!!!the medical team had successfully reduced the size of that tumour n he looks more human now....
but sigh , it was never meant to last...one year from his surgery , he was having difficulty to breath ..so , off he went to Taiwan again with his mum ....the verdict : to have another surgery in order to save his life...you see , this tumour is so active and has regrown since the former surgery....
hence , two options for the parents to weigh :
1.to have surgery regularly until he is 18 ( he is only 6) which indirectly meant that he and his mum would have to stay at Taiwan----apart from their family in INdonesia...that family has another normal boy aged 3...n those surgeries are excruciatingly painful...poor child

2.to let him not have the surgery and to die naturally ....as the tumour would eventually press on his trachea and airway -----n result in DEATH

for me , both options are so unforgiving....boy , his parents cried over and over and finally decided to give the green light to the surgery.....
but the surgery was cancelled .....it was deemed impossible...
n the medical team decided to send him back to Indonesia ...continue to monitor him for another half a year

but it was a surgery that was never meant to take place.....that boy with a tumour for a face ( his name is Novemthree---unique isn;t it )died September 2005.......rest in the loving arms of your Creator +++

so , after watching this.....and wetting my cheeks as well....why bother to blog???
hmm......it just struck me that there are some ppl out there...not happy with who they are ..not happy with their looks...going to extremes just for the sake of vanity...nope nope...i am not saying that we should start forsaking our physical looks but do not be obsessed by it...do not worship it

be thankful for your looks..be thankful that you were uniquely created...and embrace the fact that you are you !!!stop looking ( or probably staring) at the mirror.....wishing that you had a higher nose bridge....or probably a longer face .....or bigger eyes...or whatever.....

thats all i guess....need to dry my tears now....

ohh....haha....on a lighter note...i want to thank someone...i know you are readin this...and i know you know that this is meant for you...i wanna thank you for your trust in me...i understand that in the past , i have created a communication barrier between us..but i was surprised with what you just said and shared....it is my prayer answered.....keep it up !!!!==rachel smiles===
